Christan Moody

Christan Moody

Christan Moody is an associate attorney focusing exclusively on family law. Christan holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in International Relations from Spring Hill College and a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, she became familiar with nuances of family law working as a legal assistant for a family law firm and interning with various organizations such as LegalAtoms, a protection order advocacy program. She has also served as a mentor in the Women’s Law Caucus and a board member for the International Refugee Assistance Project, Seattle Chapter.

She is passionate about problem-solving with her clients and providing skilled representation for families going through divorce, custody disputes, visitation issues, and other family related proceedings. Christan’s goal is to help her clients navigate the emotional and financial turmoil that divorce can have on a family by empowering them with the knowledge they need to make informed, intelligent decisions about their case based on risk-benefit analysis and a solid understanding of the application of law to their unique circumstances.

In family law cases, emotions run high, as do the stakes. Although she prefers to take a more collaborative and communicative approach to reduce animosity and encourage a healthy co-parenting relationship if possible, when the occasion calls for it, she has no problem using more aggressive strategies to ensure the best results for her clients.

Originally from Mobile, Alabama, she moved to Washington in 2018 and considers it home. When not working, she can be found out on the water paddleboarding, or out on the roads riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. When the weather isn’t great for either, she enjoys exploring antique stores, DIY projects, and reading a good book.
